Pop Culture vs. Reality

Now here is a another bullshit institution, Hollywood and pop culture. Pop culture is an institution that is so full of bullshit. Many of the behaviours that pop culture suggests people do are total bullshit. For example, pop culture suggests that in case of a fire, you run into a burning building and try to save a person who is trapped in there or you crowd around a person who is just got injured or it near death. Pop culture also suggests that certain social behaviours and certain social norms that are common, such as you have your first kiss at love at first sight or JPATS flies both low risk inmates with super maximum security inmates on the same aircraft together. Pop culture suggests that you should fight back in case the mini mart you work at gets robbed at gun point. Reality says comply with the armed robber, give him the money, and call the cops. Just let law enforcement deal with armed robbers and workplace violence situations.  Pop culture suggests that some incidents took place or were said in history as being actually true, although it didn't go like that. Pop culture also suggests that you announce what belt in karate you hold when you get into a fight. All of these factors are bullshit and it is not how things go. Try explaining reality to a movie buff and they will treat you like you're a mindless bore.
Speaking of movie buffs, anyone who buys into movies and pop culture is also full of shit and like to live in their own little world. These people don't give a damn that pop culture is different from reality. They don't give a damn that running into a burning building to try to save a trapped person from burning to death and crowding around an injured person who is near death is the wrong thing to do. They don't give a damn that fighting back against an armed robber is the wrong thing to do and it will not get you a promotion at work, it will not make you a hero, it will only get you or the armed robber injured or killed, and it will get you convicted of aggravated assault or involuntary manslaughter. They don't give a damn that being a hero is the wrong thing to do and Hell is for heroes. They don't give a damn My Cousin Vinny is full of shit and that in order to obtain a sexual relationship it takes meeting a person for the first time and going on a few dates. During Sunday Mass the Catholic priesthood would say that about sexual relationships despite being celibate. David Wygant would say the same things in his books about sexual relationships. They don't give a damn that the JPATS fleet in reality is different from the movie Con Air. They choose to buy into what Fast Times at Ridgemont High says when it comes to armed robberies at mini marts. They also choose to buy into what the movie says and suggests instead of listen to reason and hear what really happened in that time in history. They also choose not to believe that announcing what belt you wear in whatever karate discipline you follow is totally reckless. They would rather play with themselves rather than listen to reason and face reality. They don't give a damn that movies are inaccurate at best and unreliable for information on anything. They and all movie buffs don't even give a damn in hell that not all of life's answers come from movies and pop culture. Doing what pop culture and the movies suggests is totally reckless and will get you or someone else killed.
I've got nothing against going to the movies every now and then. It would be good to go to see a movie at the movie theatre as long as you do it in moderation. It is when movie buffs who watch too much television and too many movies ruin movies with their mindless pop culture and movie trivia I become inalienated. When that happens I need to get away from them for a long while, at least until they find something realistic to talk about or take interest in other people's interests. That may never happen though. Movie buffs don't know how to go to the movies in moderation.
Now, that fact that pop culture is full of shit is the reason why I have a life. Anyone who buys into pop culture and movies and watches way too much TV and too many movies don't even have a life. If you don't have a life, you're not going to have a sexual relationship of any kind. Movie buffs like to treat anyone who talks about things that have nothing to do with movies like they're stupid mindless bores. They like to live in their own fantasy world and not listen to reason and face up to reality. Movie buffs have no life and they have no future. They might as well die old, alone, and childless. They are fun to talk to only for a few minutes than I need to talk to someone who is in touch with reality. Movie buffs also might as well as ask for an ass beating for all I care. It is fun to go to the movies every now and then, but I still need to face up to reality, just like everyone else.
If a movie buff has no life then why waste your time associating with them? Movie buffs are totally useless and unreliable. They don't give a flying fuck in Hell if they even are. They would rather play with themselves rather than listen to reason and logic. Being a movie buff, watching too much TV and too many movies is a waste of life. It's a total waste of life, nothing more.
Pop culture shows what happened in that time era. Reality shows what really happened from a first person POV. Pop culture says fight back against an armed robber and you'll get a promotion to manager of the mini mart. Reality says comply with the armed robber's orders, give him the money, call the cops, and let law enforcement handle the situation. Pop culture suggests that certain behaviours that humans partake in romantic situations. Reality says that romance takes time, patience, dating, and commitment. Pop culture suggests that you crowd around an injured person and run into a burning building to save people in emergency situations. Reality says save yourselves, don't gawk, and let professional EMT responders do their jobs. By crowding around and gawking at the injured you're not only obstructing EMT repsonders from doing their jobs but you're also adding confusion to the chaos.
It's better to listen to reason and face up to reality rather than buy into pop culture bullshit. It's better to be safe than sorry. It's better to do the right things and listen to reality rather in order to live to see tomorrow than die and burn in hell for all eternity.
